Children in the Missions’ preschool program are fed breakfast daily; Lunch is served during summer programs.
Each year, mobile food pantries distribute food bags to the poor.

Shelter
The Missions coordinates a housing improvement program through each site that helps build porches and ramps for elders, minor home repairs and responds to families who lose their homes in tornadoes or fires.
Education
St. Joseph Education Center, Vredenburgh, teaches preschoolers in morning and afternoon sessions Monday through Thursday, giving children a head start for school in a community with no preschool programs. Its summer enrichment program provides fun educational experiences for preschoolers and grade school students. Elder Care
Vredenburgh Community Center offers seniors half-day craft and sewing classes Monday-Friday, along with field trips and special events. It also includes a hot lunch program. Staff: Florence Dortch, Director; Sister Kathy Navarra, S.S.J., Outreach.
