Feeding the Hungry
Ana Maria Food Kitchen, eastern Wilcox County, serves hot meals to the poor, the working poor, the homebound and those who are sick.
Ana Maria Food Pantry, Pine Apple, provides grocery bags of nutritious food to over 310 families and seniors a month. Staff: Sister Pat Flass, S.S.J., (251) 746-2220
Children in the Missions’ preschool program are fed breakfast daily; Lunch is served during summer programs.

Clothing
The Missions supports an African-American ministry in Wilcox County, Partners in Progress, that runs a daily thrift store, Mary’s Food and Fashion.
Shelter
The Missions coordinates a housing improvement program through each site that helps build porches and ramps for elders, minor home repairs and responds to families who lose their homes in tornadoes or fires.
Education
Pine Apple Learning Center, Pine Apple, offers preschool classes for children ages 2-5, Monday through Thursday mornings. Children get breakfast. It offers after school tutoring, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The summer enrichment program reaches preschoolers to sixth-graders with activities that enhance learning. For adults, GED classes serve adults Monday through Wednesday evenings. The Center offers Motherread to teach mothers how to bring a book to life for their children. Elder Care
Pine Apple Community Center offers seniors in eastern Wilcox County all day care Monday-Friday that includes educational enrichment, art, exercise, health check ups healthy snacks and Bible lessons. The program also includes a hot lunch program.
