The Edmundite Missions was founded in July 1937 to serve the African American poor of the South. The Missions depends on the prayers and gifts of our supporters. We received no government funds.

The Edmundite Missions, whose legal name is Fathers of St. Edmund Southern Missions, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. The Missions received this designation from the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to the Missions are tax deductible. Our Federal tax ID number is #63-0302130.

The Edmundite Missions is exempt from filing a Federal 990 report. This status is granted by the IRS as a group exemption for members of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops. The group exemption number is #0928. The Edmundite Missions are listed in the Official Catholic Directory, 2008. Our Federal tax ID # is 63-0302130.
Financial Accountability
The Missions value each and every dollar donated to our ministry to the poor of the South. We want you to see that your donations help feed and clothe children, elders and families, repair homes, teach preschoolers, school-aged children and adults, pay utility bills, and respond to emergencies. We invite you to read our financial report.
Good Faith
The Edmundite Missions is committed to maintaining good faith with our donors by keeping all records confidential.
When someone donates to the Missions, his or her information is added to our records. We use this information to communicate regularly with our donors about our ministries to and the needs of the poor we serve and to acknowledge the support donors provide. We communicate through printed mailings and by maintaining website information. It is our hope that through this information, our donors will be motivated to continue their valued financial support of our ministry in rural Alabama. Edmundite employees and business consultants who have access to donor records have signed an agreement to keep that information confidential.
The Missions on-line and in-mail credit card donations are secure and confidential. Our web site is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information entered by its visitors. Our site logs generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of visits to our site. We use this information to improve our website for our donors and others.
The Missions maintain an information email address on our website. Donors or anyone interested in the Missions may contact us at any time at this email address. You may also contact us at anytime by calling or writing our Missions Office in Selma, AL.
The Missions make our membership list available to reputable charities and businesses whose information we believe may be of interest to our members.
